Local Attorney Expands Role with Ducks Unlimited
June 14, 2012

GREEN BAY, WI – Bruce Deadman, attorney with Davis & Kuelthau in Green Bay has been re-elected to the Ducks Unlimited (DU) national board as Sr. Vice President for Youth & Education. Deadman, who has long been active with DU in Northeast Wisconsin and throughout the U.S., has also been elected to the DUMAC board, the Ducks Unlimited affiliate in Mexico.

“I’m very pleased to be able to continue my work as part of the national board,” Deadman said. “I’m also very excited to be able to join DUMAC. We have a DU training facility in Celestun, Yucatan, Mexico where through our RESERVA program we have trained more than 300 people from Mexico, the Caribbean and South America. It’s a significant jobs training program and also gives us the opportunity to have a lasting positive environmental impact in Mexico and Latin America. The degradation of coastal mangrove swamps due to poor shrimp farming practices is an area where we are working especially hard to make a difference.”

Started in 1974, the DUMAC mission is to conserve, protect, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats of Mexico, for the benefit of migratory and resident waterfowl of North America.
